my German Shepard mix might have pannus is what my regular vet said. So I’ll be seeing an ophthalmologist but what do you guys think? I really hope she doesn’t

It's hard to tell from your pictures and we aren't vets so any opinions would be just that opinions.
See the optho and get a proper diagnosis.
My female has plasmoma which is a variation of pannus effecting the third eyelids. The treatment is the same as for pannus. Eye drops everyday for the remainder of your dogs life and limiting exposure to UV light. Early diagnosis preserves eyesight and has good outcomes with proper management. Most dogs tolerate the drops very well. They don't necessarily like getting the drops but they are usually well tolerated just the same. With treatment the disease process is usually stopped (not cured). Treatment is a lifelong course as pannus is an immune mediated disease.
If it is pannus it can be managed easily and your dog can life a very happy life.
