Because Romy smells like wet dog a lot. Not too bad, but enough for my husband to mention it! But was curious as to whether it strips the flea medication. Some of these sprays say they don't but was just wondering if anybody had any facts on this.
What flea control do you use? Different types work differently and effectiveness will depend on when you apply them with regard to wetting the coat.
Often dogs still smell doggy soon after a bath as the shampoo has not penetrated the coat right down to the skin; or the coat and skin was not rinsed enough (most important step); or the coat not dried right down to the skin. All of which allow the skin and hair to retain some of the smell.
There are other reasons of course!!
