Omega 6s are MUCH more common than 3s.
Poultry and eggs are two very common sources of O6s.

Dogs must convert the alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) in flaxseed to EPA and DHA and many dogs cannot effectively make this conversion. That's why I stick to fish oils that already have the active form in it.Originally Posted By: Brightelf1.)Flax oil
Not bad, but contains a lot of omega 6s that the diet already contains. Would be better to up the omega 3s with fish oil.Originally Posted By: Brightelf2.)olive oil
These oils are not interchangeable and are very different from one another. Cod Liver Oil supplies two fat soluble vitamins- A and D. These can be overdosed and I wouldn't supplement with them unless you know there is a need for them in the diet or if in the winter the dog doesn't get much sunlight which is how they make their vitamin D. CLO supplies very little omega 3s.Originally Posted By: Brightelf3.)either salmon or cod-liver oil
