How many times I have been poked with my GSDs noses! I am interested in the answer to this as well. Both my male and female do this. At first I thought it was an accident, but it isn't. It is their greeting.
Nose? Or is the just Quincy?
My husband noticed it first.
Quincy SEEMS to greet with his nose. He will walk up and poke you with it. Seems to be doing it more as he gets older or maybe I am just now in tune to it.
Anyway, could it be like when a dog paws at you for attention? Is it then disrespectful?
It SEEMS like he is just saying hi because often he will just do it as he is moving past me from one room to another.
Just curious. I do not want to ignore any dominence signs. One bossy do in the hous is enough.

Now I have picked up on it I have to laugh because it does seem like he is throwing me a quick hi on his way.
