NC Legislation Will Allow Breaking Into Vehicles to Rescue Dogs from Hot Cars | The Dogington Post

The bill basically says that anyone can break in someone's car to rescue a dog if they feel that it is reasonable. I see a lot of flaws in this bill.

North Carolina’s new law, if passed by the governor’s signature, will allow not only police officers, but also firefighters, animal control officers, and other rescue workers to take necessary action in saving an animal’s life.

Not anyone, just officers other than police.
I can't imagine a bill being passed that gives civilians a lawful reason to break into a car.

Understandable. When I first saw it I thought the same thing and thought it was the stupidest thing in the world.
They should word it a bit different than "Will allow breaking into vehicles".

This is great news. One state at a time. Hopefully all 50 states end up with this law.
