Hello we are new owners to German shepherd this isn’t our first dog but it’s been a long time since we had a puppy. We’ve had hounds, beagles and a pit. Her name is Sadie meaning little princess. Shes been with us since she was 8 weeks old and she is 10 weeks old now. Sadie is doing amazing aside from the biting and snapping we have developed badly in the last week. She has 4 children who love her dearly. We start puppy training classes next Sunday so hopefully we can get some beginning obedience in her.

Try and have the kids sit in on the classes, too. If everyone is on the same page, teaching the pup human rules and the kids dog rules will go a lot smoother.
Adorable pup.

Welcome, she's adorable. The biting is totally normal for a GSD pup. Patience, consistency and structure will help. Have fun, she'll be a wonderful companion for your children. My 2 are great with my grandchildren.

With a young puppy, it's all management. Set her up to succeed. As she grows, set firmer and firmer boundaries on her behavior. Be firm enough to be clear, while giving her plenty of exercise, engagement with you, and mental stimulation/challenges...the results are amazing! These dogs really are something special!

Congratulations!
