Hi! Ok so I have a 7 month old beautiful boy. I have recently found a horrible rash under his chin and red pimple/bumps all over his chest. I found out it could be a food allergy so I am putting him on the raw diet. I am still trying to get his meals down so I can per package them for about a week or up to a month in advance. First question, can I pre package cooked rice and meat then freeze? Also I think he may be allergic to the chicken in his food, what can I use that is easy on his tummy to get him started?

hi welcome,
great you are switching to raw, you and your boy is going to love it.
I do not feed any grain just meat to my boy, but I do not see reason why you can not freeze cooked rice.
If you thing your boy is allergic to chicken maybe you can try different meat. I have been lucky to find somebody who sells duck frames.

I have been feeding raw for over 15 years. The only non-meat/bone item I feed is green tripe. My current pack of 7 dogs have NEVER had rice or any other grains.

Here are some basic meals my dogs have had over the past few weeks:

Chicken backs/necks/leg quarters
Chunked beef with green tripe
Turkey hearts
Whole small prey animals (I raise my own)
Lamb riblets
Rabbit (ground meat, organs and bones)
Pork hearts
Pork neck bones (meal for the GSD, recreational bones for the Cresteds)
