Hi I'm zach, I adopted my new best friend "striker" at about 3 months from a friend going into the air Force. He's almost 6 months and wondered if anyone had some pointers for me. Hes responded pretty well to training and very healthy.

Some of the best advice is "establish good habits early". It's easier to build good behaviors now than fix unwanted behaviors later. Keep your dog from making mistakes as much as possible and give him a lot of socialization.

There's a lot of good information here about crate training, feeding, health care.... read up and ask questions, because there are a lot of very experienced GSD owners here.
