Wow it's been soo long since I've been on here.. I had a GSD a cpl yrs ago. And was thinking of getting another one.. I have a shih tzu and EB.. So not sure how that would work out. Does anyone have two dogs then added another dog into the mix? If so how did that work out? Just wondering if there would be a lot of jealousy. Both are males and fixed and very friendly. Any suggestions would be great thx!

I have often added a third dog. Just did it again last week!!!

Make sure that the existing dogs still get plenty if one on one time with you. Separate walks and training sessions. Monitor all interactions to make sure no one is being too tough or dominant. Feed separate.

It can be done!!!

We've added a third dog several times. Just make sure you follow the general introduction rules, slow and steady, and supervise at all times until you're 100% certain everyone is accepting of the new arrangment...and make sure you divide your attention equally and keep your current dog's routine as normal as possible.

Good luck!
