I'm going to be getting male GSD next year and I'm wanting to compete with him in agility and rally and whatever else I can get my hands on. Lol
He will be neutered as I have no interest in breeding.
So my question is:
When I neuter him, are there any sports that don't allow altered males?

I think conformation is the only area where you can't compete with an altered animal and there of course the underlying point is to evaluate breeding stock. Everything else is wide open to any purebred dog. Males in Schutzhund very often are left intact but I think you still can compete with a neutered dog if you want to. I've seen them training.

Congrats in advance on your new pup!

Others can give you more info on this (schutzhund not being a real area of expertise of mine) but I've been left with the impression that eyebrows are raised about neutered males in some schutzhund clubs. But then the same eyebrows are raised about rescue dogs, dogs of unusual breeds, and I'm sure other things in some schutzhund clubs, so I wouldn't let that bother me.

In every other sport I'm aware of (and I'm sure some schutzhund clubs as well) neutered dogs are totally normal and accepted.

Check these clubs out:

Good question Oranges81! My guy is too old to compete in anything now, but I certainly plan to get my next one into some form of sport (and he will be neutered as well)

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out

All the animals that come to me get altered.
I've got a female black lab mix right now who I'm just introducing to Rally so this should be fun.

ETA: Those are a bit far for me. But I'll certainly talk to them. I live in a small town where the only dog sport is agility and rally. Maybe I can talk to my trainer about it.. Hmmm.. *ponders*
