I'm asking this question on behalf of my mom, who has a 9 month old Havanese pup (she's about 8 lbs or so). She LOVES to chew, and her favorite toy is a Nylabone keyring (a small one). She literally chewed all the keys up in a matter of a few weeks (starting when she was about 3 mos old or so). My mom bought her a new one, and she chewed the end of a key off in about an hour. Needless to say, she's eating the Nylabones so fast we're concerned, so my mom stopped giving her the keyring. She bought a bigger Nylabone (not sure which one), and Maddie is doing a number on it, quickly. I asked my mom to try the ones marked "for powerful chewers", but she said that's what she got last time.

Besides Nylabones, is there anything else she can give to Maddie that would be safe for such a small dog? We know we can't do rawhide, but this dog seems to need to chew on something. She's very good about only chewing on her toys, but we don't want her comsuming so much nylon shavings. Any suggestions?

TIA
