My family an I live in NE Ohio and are looking to add a GSD to our family. We are looking strictly a family companion and have no plans to show or breed the dog. We would like to raise a laid back, very social, highly trainable GSD.
We have been searching for a breeder who produces GSD's with these attributes but don't have many resources in the area to steer use in the correct direction. With so many people breeding dogs it is a struggle to find who is reputable and who is not.
If anyone could offer some suggestions it would be highly appreciated. I am not opposed to buying out of state from a breeder if that is what it will take to find the correct dog.
I have owned GSD's my entire life and our last one passed away 6 years ago. We are excited to at a German Shepherd to our family (especially my kids ages 9,9, & 13).
