My puppy have eczemas

Everything started with just one big eczema on his leg , we treated it and everything seemed fine until yesterday where we found out he had just another one on another leg but not that big more likely the size of a dot.

Today we've found that he has several eczemas. I've been reading about eczemas related to people and that there are factors that can make it worse such as:

Pollen Allergy
Mold
Dry Skin
Stress
Too much hot or too much cold
Exposure to water

And there're more.

I've a Vet Appt Tomorrow. Have any of you treated this?

I bet It's thanks to the fact that he has been in the trainer's house for a few weeks. It's a big place with puddles, pool, with a lot of forest, etc, lots of dogs and it's pretty hot in there during the day but he loves it.

Im not sure if eczemas can get pretty serious.

Me too.:confused::confused::confused:
I gotta be honest, I didn't notice this until you asked... the fact that It didn't have any corn and wheat made me buy it

I swear It says:
  • New improved formulas no wheat,no corn
  • Great fresh taste
  • Highly digestible
  • 100% Complete & Balanced

Okay... i just googled to see if I could find a bag with it written and turns out that the few i found didn't have " no wheat, no corn" written
such as this:

And this is supposedly the one Im feeding him

It doesn't say no wheat,no corn written neither :shocked:

Perhaps they changed their formula?

I think a food change is in order. It's also possible that he has developed a sensitivity to chicken.

I would first get rid of all the corn and wheat from the diet, also see if being away from the trainer's clears this up. The vet may treat with something, but the important thing will be if it resolves.

The bag shows this:

But in the ingredients it says it has corn & wheat:thinking:

Anyways, the eczemas started appearing this week and He has eaten chicken since he was 2 MO but I've noticed since he was little that his eyes (?) are too red ..
Like this

The sclera seems okay.

I've always thot that Maybe It's thanks to the fact that he's allergyc to something. But in my family they think that im paranoic :). Could that be related to an allergy from something, perhaps the chicken and now it has gotten worse?

I think his eyes look fine to me, personally, and eyes don't have anything to do with eczemas.
Thanks Deuce, I didn't mean that the redness in there was related to an Eczema but maybe with an Allergy.

EDIT: And I wasn't sure whether or not that redness was normal :) . And far as I remember when he was younger I'd check him and it'd be ligther but somedays it wasn't .
The bag just says some formulas, not the formula in this particular bag????

ANF Dog Food | Review and Rating

There is some redness in the 3rd eyelid area, which could be a number of things, including food allergy. Cornea looks good.

OH...... Thanks to My lack of comprehension I understood something else..:smirk: I read that & thot "yay no corn no wheat"
You might want to email the company, just to be sure. Perhaps the formulation for the US is different? In general, it sounds like deceptive advertising, unless there is somethign that we are not aware of..
I just checked the webpage again and turns out that there are only 3 formulas with no wheat and no corn.

  • CANINE HOLISTIC FORMULA
  • DUCK MEAL & POTATO HOLISTIC FORMULA
  • ADULT TURKEY MEAL & BARLEY FORMULA

Just like you said Lisa, some formulas and not the formula in the particular bag. It was an Advertising to the other formulas and not the one in the particular bag (that's what i think)...
