My choices-- what do you think?

As I mentioned earlier, the litter that I had placed a deposit on turned out to be just a little middle-aged spread on mama's middle.

My deposit will be transferred to one of these two litters, due within a couple of weeks of each other. Any comments would be welcome. :)

"P" litter Van Meerhout:
Sire: Belos vom Patscherkofel - working-dog.eu

Dam: Kimi von den Wannaer Höhen - working-dog.eu

"Q" litter Van Meerhout:

Sire: SG Balco vom Konigswolf - German shepherd dog

Dam: G Beasly vom Belker-Bad - German shepherd dog

What was the pairing that you put your deposit on?
For what it is worth, I prefer the "P" litter, but really, how could you go wrong with a pup from either??? Both pairings have pedigrees I'd be very pleased with. There are several on this board who can offer a much more sophisticated response, and I will be eager to read their insights.
With the Q litter. You end up 5-5 on Greif Lahntal. But I agree with W.Oliver, I don't see how you can go wrong with either one. Did you have a deposit on a male or female? What about the litter with Balco and Britt? (Yemaja v Meerhout) I like their description of Balco, which is probably what is swaying my choice a bit ;).
I think both litters have some nice dogs pedigreewise, but if you pushed me I would go with the "P" litter because of strength of dam line. All good breeding starts with dam's, IMO.

I have a deposit on a male, preferably a sable if we can get one that matches my needs for temperament, nerve, and drive. Britt didn't come into heat when she was expected to so they're going to try again later. I met both Balco and he was AWESOME.

Thanks for that.

I guess I should note that the dog I'm getting will be first and foremost a member of the family. We'll start out with puppy classes and stay in classes continuously and move into obedience or agility, whichever the dog seems to prefer. I'd like to do SchH but I'm working every time the DFW Working Dogs meets.
You just need to change to work schedule to accommodate our training time :p

If you are interested in protection sport, there are a few other clubs in our area that's available. There is a very nice Ring/PSA/SchH club that meets on Monday and Thursday night out in Grand Prairie.

Of course, who knows what my schedule will look like a few months from now? Maybe I'll win the lottery and not have to work anymore. I'm definitely still going to bring the puppy by on a Sunday so y'all can ooh and ahh over him.
Excellent breedr choice. They both work, train AND title their own dogs as well.

I agree with Cliff on the P litter. Very strong motherline.
Yeah, I especially respect the fact that they took Aline, a female that can't have puppies, to the nationals this year. To me that shows they're interested in the dogs themselves and not just breeding or the $$$.
