When Chama and Basu were still alive I had three seniors (including Cleo, who is going strong at 18!) and I used to joke that I was running a retirement home for animals. It was expensive but I would do it again in a second. As much as I love puppies it's the seniors who really need us. Some day I'd love to have a rescue just for seniors. :wub:

Someday I would like to have a rescue for seniors too. Kinda like a retirement home. Not to encourage people to dump their dogs off but for those who have already decided to. When Mac's older and I am more educated I'd like to get involved in fostering too. But thats a different discussion

If these people are so cold as to dump their senior dog because of vet bills than maybe the poor guy is better off with someone else. Ugh.
