I have noticed he has an occasional limp in front leg for a 5 days, then it seemed over the weekend it is the other one. Jake is acting totally normal, eating normal and not whining or crying.

I have been doing aspirin and started Vit c, is there anything else I need to do? I have read that in some cases the vet gives an antibiotic? Why is that? Does he need to see a vet? I am really on the fence because he acts happy, full of energy and completely normal. IF it is Pano I am assuming it is a mild case.

Jake is 8.5 months.

Thanks in advance for the insight.

Ok, I just HATE this! Jake is definitely on the large end of the scale although he is thin and lean. He is going to be a big dog with a big bone structure, no doubt about that. I started to up the amount of C and will do my best to limit his exercise.

I am about to join a DVG club 2 hours north of here...we visited Sat and I really liked everyone and from what I understand they have a great helper....he just placed in World. The amount of time he is actually out on the field is so small, can he still go? We are so new we barely know what to do.... I was planning on going this Sat. I am just scratching the surface on ScH....however I don't want to do anything that will cause more harm. He really seems unaffected right now but I certainly want it to stay that way. I have felt his front legs and he is fine....all he wants to do is bite me....:)

Ok, good because we haven't really started the protection yet....last week he bit the puppy sleeve and got to take back to the crate....but that's all, certainly he isn't doing any bark and hold.....I wish we were at a place where he was "intense"....it will be be a while. :) I am glad that learning to lay tracks and and learn some obedience is ok....I am anxious to learn and get started. I will update in a few days on his condition...

Well, Jake has pano, it has been moving a bit to each front leg or at least it seems. I think this must be a mild bout...no crying and he is still letting me feel his legs....

I understand this may come and go for many months but those of you who have experienced this how long did each bout last? Days? Weeks? A month?
