That's a shame, and I signed it, but that's the same scene with almost every pit I've seen

Signed it. I have a friend who adopted two of the sweetest pits I've ever met. It's a breed that's gotten a bad rap b/c of bad owners.

I have to say, that as an employee in a battered women's shelter, Verizon is very supportive. Money every year from the national level and they send the women flowers at Mother's Day.
So even though the commercial may not be great, certainly the company does some good:)

Well they should send some money to pittie rescue after that stupid commercial. You would think that with the Michael Vick thing so well known, they would have been more sensitive toward those dogs. If they want to show someone doing something daring to touch a stupid phone, they could have used some imagination and done a million different things instead of play on people's fear like that.

You can't do anything anymore. Ok, here it goes. I watched the commercial, they are pit bulls and they are guard dogs in the commercial. I don't think it is a bad commercial. So, what kind of dog could they use that wouldn't offend anyone? A poodle? A Chihuahua? Certainly not a GSD, or we'd be offended. I understand the breed ban issue, but can't we draw the line somewhere?

I don't think we need to portray any breed as vicious - and use your imagine to see what was supposed to happen if the chains didn't yank them to a halt.

Anything that reinforces an inaccurate breed stereotype is wrong.

Verizon has apparently already pulled the commercial.
