Live Trapping

Does anyone have any suggestions or information about live trapping? My dog has been spotted in one area a couple of times but is not there by the time I get there. It has been suggested to me that I should hire a professional to set a live trap so that Baron can be recovered humanly. I have tried many other ideas and thought at first "NO WAY!" but the more I think about it (and the more I get desperate) I have a feeling it may be the only thing that can work. It has been two months and I was told that he was very thin. I'm very worried. What are your thoughts on whether this is something I should do? Will it be safe for him?

I'd say Go for it!!!! You can't afford to let him go hungry and cold any longer than he already has. Two months? That poor guy. He could get hit by a car, stolen, anything.

I've seen the live traps on the Animal Cops shows on Animal Planet, and they are very safe and don't hurt the dog. He just walks into a large cage where food is placed in the far back. To get to the food, he has to step on a small metal flap, which triggers the door to shut behind him. That's all there is to it.

Please have someone set some up ASAP so you can get your baby home!
I agree with Jessica, I can't imagine how awful it must be knowing your dog is out there suffering and you can't catch him. If it were me, I'd use a trap in heartbeat.
Thanks for the quick replies. I have called a professional to see what he can do....Baron is already scared and I just want him home safe...thanks....
Good luck!
