We were supposed to go to puppy kindergarten tonight, but I caught a virus after the last session, only place I'd been so it had to be there. Friday came down with a sore throat and its moving to sneezing and coughing, so we had to stay home. First time I've been sick since before the pandemic. Being sick with a puppy is very very hard.

He is so cute, but honestly, he just looks like he'd be a handful! Hope you feel better soon.

I hear ya. They dropped Eowyn off at 8 weeks, when I was down with Covid. I literally took her to meet each of the dogs, then put her in with Bear and Tinny. A mother-daughter team that were 12 and 4 at the time. I then dragged a lawn chair I could lie down in out there so I could watch her through the fencing. Being sick is no fun at all, puppy or no puppy. But, when you have a puppy, you have to get out of bed and take that puppy out, lots of times. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I hope it isn't covid, but I have to assume that it might be, and isolate accordingly. I'm doing food games and flirtpole with the pup, and some limited walks, but he's not getting as much attention as before, so he's biting more, doing more snatch and grab to get attention. He basically doesn't settle. So I'm having to crate him more. I would love to stay in bed and get over this faster, but as you say, with a puppy, it's not possible. I hope you recovered completely from your covid. To make this worse, I also have a parrot.

No. I think I have that long-covid they talked about. I talked to my doctor about the chest pains, and she said something like we don't know how this will act long term. The BP is good though so she doesn't seem too concerned about it. I've lost about 30 pounds since the summer, which is a good thing, only I am not trying to lose weight. And, I am really tired. All the time. I can sleep for eight hours, getting up every 2 or 3 to go to the bathroom and then right back to bed. I dream a lot. I wake up tired. I am tired all day. I am taking anti-depressants, that others say are working, but I am not seeing it. I think they make me tired. I had a litter of puppies in August, and luckily they went home relatively quickly once they reached 8 weeks. I kept one. So I have dubbed Eowyn, T-rex because of how she treats the old lady in with her, and Xara, the six month old, the Pterodactyl. I found that if you can get past her teeth and her nails, she does like her belly rubbed. Last month was the attack, and now we're back at having winter. And the time change. When it rains it pours, they say. But they also say, this too will end, and it is true. The snow-shtuff can last into April, but it will be gone by May. I am planning on another vacation in July (same place), and my house will be paid off in June, so a new car is coming in July or August and I won't have to feed this thing oil every other time I get gas. And I can use some of those house payments to do all the jobs I have been waiting on. If only I can get some mc^2. I am struggling right now, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I have read Benedryl is good for eliminating long covid. I don't remember the dosage or duration, it was some time ago I read it. Maybe you can google it and find it. Benedryl is mild other than making you sleepy, it can even be given to babies, so I'd probably try it.
A friend going through this told me that it was best to move about, to walk, to stay out of bed. And expectorants ... teraflu I think was something the dr. recommended. OTC stuff if you didn't confirm within the first 5 days of symptoms. If you do get it confirmed withing that period, the prescription stuff has been the best treatment. So if you think you might have covid, do your self test soon.
I wouldn’t worry so much. Everyday is a new opportunity with a dog, especially a puppy. One missed training session isn’t going to break anything. I feel your pain though. I had a stomach bug these pass few days and really felt the burden of having three dogs to work. Luckily they are good sports and worked with me.
