not sure where to put this .
oliver.21 months male is licking/biting(flea biting) the top of his leggs.he goes on for 15-30 minutes,and then does it again with a different legg.i don't see anything abnormal.it's been going on for over a week now.
i have not seen any fleas!!
both dogs are on flea prevention.(frontline plus)
do you think i need to have the vet check it out?any ideas of what it could be?

Could be a number of things from allergies to boredom. I think I'd see a vet first to rule out any health problems.

I'd tell you how but I've no idea....

My first suggestion when I heard dogs are chewing at legs and paws is allergies...What are you feeding? Have you spayed the grass around your house with anything?

I would take him to the vet just to rule out any diagnosised health problems. It could be allergies or just bordem but taking him to the vet wouldn't be a bad idea

he 's not biting much,more like licking. a lot.

check for worms, when we had this problem our boy was going bald over his back and tail and had a lot of hotspots, it turned out to be tapeworms.

Could be boredome and/or allergies as listed previously, but also do not rule out yeast. Yup, I had a GSD that had yeast (skin yeast) and that was why she was biting and licking her paws (tops).
