I probably shouldn't have laughed, but it was hilarious:

We were going to bed and Layla, at the age of testing the limits (6.5 months), jumped up on the bed. My husband told her "OFF!" and pointed. She instead lied down. He sat up and said more forcefully, "OFF!" She stood up and poked him in the chin with her nose. I swear she was telling him "SHUT UP!"

He pushed her off the bed.

I was laughing.

That is so funny.

In the mornings when Mac is tired of "break time" he'll start nudging, putting his paws on the keyboard etc (you know the drill) and when I very sternly tell him "no" sometimes he'll look at me w/o a cocked head and talk back "wooh whooh whoo". Like he's scolding me back. I'm trying to be stern but it cracks me up.

Uschi and Stosh would snap their teeth at me when I corrected them for nipping. It was so funny but I couldn't laugh- they'd snap snap in the air and then make a yippeee bark. So cute coming out of a little pup.

They do like to talk back, but we do have to keep it within humorous bounds.

Minna would do the same thing. Usually she'll just give me a look that says "dang, I got caught" -- she thinks she's sneakier then she actually is.

And I actually decided to teach her a command with the snapping teeth. She's sort of learning that "chomp" means to just snap your teeth, no noise included. It's too cute.

Well that is nothing to be afraid of,
I am more afraid of my dog once realizing that this whole pack play just to be his leader goes down the drain and he discovers that we human beings actually really are their servant slaves. I am afraid he finds that out eventually
