About what age should one expect to see the last fear period in a male dog?

I have not had a male puppy in forever (1991) and Havoc is giving me some concern with barking at kids.
He has been socialized with kids fairly well and I have seen this off and on. He is 14 months old on Monday.

We spent an hour yesterday at the park walking around near kids.He barked at 2.

I have to admit I have never kept him away from kids but beyond all his puppy stuff last summer have not actively sought out kids. We have a ton in the neighborhood that he sees and we see them at the park when we walk so he has certainly been around a them. When I bought him home and started socializing him with kids (had several different families to our house) he was not real keen on them. I don't care if he does not care for kids but he has to tolerate them.

I have made special outings with friends kids to walk with us as well and he just could care less about them, really does not want them around.

Later today we are going to another park to sit on a bench near the playground for a while.

I need to get a handle on this.

Will check out those links, it may just be a maturity thing I don't know. Just seems to have worsened this week, in fact in had not seen it much til this week.

Just browsed diamonds in the ruff. Havoc will be 14 months on Monday and I think this may just be another stage to work through.

We did do the 100 people by 12 weeks deal too. He has probably met a gallizion people but not as any kids. He barked at a lady working in her garden the other day too.

Thanks for those links!!!!

One page I read on stages says second and last fear stage is between 6 month to 14 months, and yup Jesse will be 9 months next week and very very well socialized but has days where he is more afraid of things he was never afraid of before or just a few things and the next day fine, the back to being afraid again with something else. I just ignore it like it is not happening and let him get over it himself and say to myself "just puppy". I explain to people that want to meet him and he is showing some fear, that he is in a fear stage and will eventually get over it, just give him some time and let him come to you.
