Laos is on restricted activity because he has a partially torn CCL. He'll have surgery the middle of November so I've been swimming him to build up muscle tone and to exercise him without injuring his knee more. Oregon Ridge allows dogs to swim after they close the beach area. It's a nice quiet, serene place.

Just a few pictures from today.

Laos is way out there!!!

Come on Mom ~ throw the ball!!

Just a few shots ~ making him do a little obedience for the ball (sitz, platz).

When I was uploading these pictures in my Oregon Ridge folder... I found this one of Jackson & Dante from years ago. It made me smile!!

Great pictures!! I love taking my dogs swimming. :)
Awww, love that last shot!
Good thing Laos has an outlet for his energy, hope the weather stays fairly warm while he is on light duty.

Me too Carolina.. there's nothing better to build muscle tone and their cardiovascular system up. I just wish I had a place during the summer months.;)
he is very handsome!!!! Gotta love that wet dog odor:sick:

I hope every goes smooth in November!
Hey, I thought I was the only one that 'broke' my dogs! Usually toes, lots of TOES!!!
Look at him go! He sure enjoys it, that's for sure. When I take Gryff swimming, I make him do sits and platz' in the water too for his ball. Great way to proof their obedience for a rainy day when the field is soaking wet and full of puddles.

I hope his surgery goes well. It must be quite the challenge for you to find ways to engage him and excercise him.

Love that last pic too, very sweet!

!
Lucia, the surgery will be easy compared to me trying to keep him quiet for the months that follow. I've been trying to limited his activity now and he's about ready to "explode". We can at least continue with tracking!!:gsdbeggin:
