Has anyone ever seen a long coat white GSD? I have yet to see one!

Ive never seen one but it sounds like it might be a great looking dog.
I have a Great Pyranese with Shepherd ears in my mind now....
I googled it. If you google images there's plenty of pics of long coat white shepherds. They are very pretty.
I did a commission of a LCWGSD once.

I'd love to have one like that! Did you have alot of trouble getting anyone to believe they were GSD's?

Some people ask what they are. Some people think they're mixes (usually Collie or Sammy) until I tell them what they are. Over the years I've had a couple people actually try to argue with me that GSDs aren't white and/or aren't long coated.
Wow, they were gorgeous dogs! We had two long haired GSD's, one mostly black and one black and tan. I never saw or heard of white long haired ones! People always used to ask us what breed our long haired ones were, couldn't believe they were shepherds.
Those whites are beautiful.

We pulled a long coat white from the shelter when I was in NC. He was the sweetest dog I had ever met.
Gayle, did you find it harder to keep up with their coats since they are white, and long coated? My hooligans are always rolling in the mud, i couldnt imagine having a white dog, nevermind a longcoated one to keep clean and brushed out so pretty the way they yours look!

I've never noticed that the WGSDs coats are more difficult to keep clean - you notice mud on them easier, but once it's dried and brushed out, their coats aren't any more difficult to keep clean. As far as the long hairs, from what little experience I've had, they're the same as other long coated breeds (but a lot easier than a breed such as the OES).
