6 months ... get a wire brush with a wooden handle, with fine bristles placed very close together. brush everyday at least once, but preferably twice. We also have some sort of shedding band type thing that's shaped like an oil filter wrench or a kitchen jar belt wrench...and has a serrated edge on one side of the metal band. Use the serrated edge side and brush the hair with the grain and you'll see an amazing amount of hair just fall to the floor. Then follow up with the thin wire brush to remove the remainder. I was vacuuming 3 times a day.. now I only have to vacuum once a day. and the brush helps with finding ticks... bonus.
PS..... They shed enough to make 5 wigs a day.
