My gsd is now 2 months old and i started feeding him this puppy food a couple of days ago. 3 time a day. But he doesnt finish his daily serving; it says 220g for his age but he barely gets to 170g. Is that enough ??Sometimes he's picky and wont eat much of it.
So i give him other things. Sometimes 2 raw eggs aside of the kibble. sometimes a piece of cooked chiken which by the way he swallows like he's been starving.
Also he poops like 3-4 times a day is that normal for his age or is it the dog food?
Oh and he weighs about 4-5 kg the breeder i bought him from says that weight is good but i m not sure!

Ps: Its not that easy to switch to another brand of dog food as this is the only brand available at the local store.
Thx for the awsome website btw ^_^

there is a lot of grain in that food, corn rice and wheat. corn is not as digestible which may lead to larger more frequent poop. Have you looked into having food delivered? Some companies have no delivery charge if you order a certain amount.

Agree with car2ner.....this is not a good food.

Where are you from? Maybe we could suggest something.

Is amazon available in your country? You can order dog food from there.

Ou is it that bad. OH theres the same brand but grain free... but it's for adult dogs :/
I can get:
-Purina puppy chow
-Pylkron junior
-And cotagro.
But its the same ingredients everywhere (the last 2 are cheaper though)
And no i'm afraid. Amazon is not availble in Tunisia :/

Not a lot of good quality choices in your country.

I would soak the kibble in water or fresh goat's milk (which is very nutritious and has many benefits) then mix in a small amount of the real meat (minced into very small pieces) and add the raw eggs a few times per week. These fresh items can add healthy nutrition to his diet.

Do not add all these things at once as it may upset you pups stomach. Add one thing at a time and see how his stomach/stool reacts. When his stool is stable try adding the next item.

I am not familiar with Tunisia, so I would say cook (heat) it until Almost done. Make sure you rinse off the the fat. They cannot digest it very well and could lead to stomach upset.

Is goat's milk available to you? Read about it here:

If you can get bones from a butcher, you can make a nutritional Bone Broth for added nutrition. Just remember to remove the fat after cooking. (If interested, I can list the recipe)

Keep us posted!
