Looks blue sable to me, you can see the tan areas so not solid blue like some suggested.

IMO, that "Blue German Shepherd" looks as purebred as my "Liver German Shepherd". And Chancey certinally isn't purebred. That dog doesn't look very GSD like to me. His head, body shape and legs are off. (IMO) Something about that dog actually screams Akita with me but the tightness of the coat throws me off.

I think in the first pic he looks like some sort of mix, especially with the tighter coat and how tucked in his waist is, but in the third pic he looks PB to me. Second pic is hard to tell because you don't normally see pics of dogs in that position. Haha.
