My GSD is 5 mos. and a week today. Not only are his ears not up yet, he is still teething!!!! Just today he lost two more teeth right in front of us
I have read that teething is usually done by 20 weeks....do some dogs take longer? much longer? and what about those ears still down????

Dogs are like kids. Teething is different for each. I have learned that a dog's teething does play a part in the erection of the ears. I wouldn't worry yet.

Chevy's ears have been up since just over 3 months old (he's now over 5 months) but he is still teething as well. He's lost several teeth in the last few days.

I only have one of the teeth Mandalay lost and that is because my husband was "wiggling it" and it fell out in his hands. I know she has lost some other teeth, cuz I look in her mouth every couple days. I think she is almost done teething as they all look new.

Her one ear had flopped during teething and is now back up.

What I was amazed by is how quickly the new teeth grew in! The toothe we knew she had lost was just last week or so and this week it looks big and bright and shiny.
