I just have to share this story about my little girl Brandie (Myth Vom Triton)... she is 5 mths old now and as all the Triton puppies, doing EXCELLENT.
I got home last night, let the dogs out to potty, prepared two kongs with Cody's dinner kibble in them and some peanut butter. Thought of trying something different, instead of just pouring the food in his bowl... So I filled up the kongs, pushed them to the back of the counter in the kitchen. I thought I was safe, since Cody was in the living room, Brandie was in the kitchen and the gate at the kitchen door was closed.
I am changing my clothes in the bedroom and hear some noises, Brandie is playing with her bone in the kitchen... after a couple of minutes I walk into the kitchen and what do you think I saw!?!?!?!?
MS. BRANDIE STANDING ON TOP OF THE KITCHEN COUNTER LICKING THE KONGS!!!
The little girl is 5 mths old and she can jump on top of the kitchen counters, which are AT LEAST 40 inches tall.. if not more...oh BTW, there are no chairs or anything else that she could have jumped on top of and then to the counter... so she has jumped from the floor straight up to the counter..
I could have died of laughter, after I got over my initial shock of my GSD jumping on the counters, NOT my cats...
Don't you just love these girls?!?!? I was all worried about Cody getting into the kongs because he is so tall that he can just reach and get everything (that is why the Kongs were at the back of the counter, kinda pushed bedind the coffee maker)... I never in million years thought that BRANDIE would get to them. The funny thing too is that she had already eaten her dinner
I guess she wanted more. Definite HIGH food drive.
We keep dog cookies and bones in a cabinet on top of the washer, so I bet one of these days Brandie will be on top of the washer too
This is funny!! I have a boy that is like this...little (well not so little) Eli.....oh my gosh, he's one and a half now which is a miracle in and of itself....that boy at a young age use to jump all over everything....I kid you not!! I'd be on the phone and he'd be running around the house litterally up on the dining room table, off the table and darting into the kitchen to jump up on the sink...off the sink to charge back into the living room and jump OVER the loveseat!!! For almost the first full year I couldn't keep anything on top of the counters or tables because he would pull it off...I'm on my THIRD coffee pot as he's yanked the others off the countertops and tore them to pieces (this is one dog that does NOT need caffiene LOL),,, In fact, to this date, if he is allowed out when I'm not there I still have to have these areas cleared or he will do it for me while I'm gone.
Oh my gossshhh. that is so funny!!! There must have been something in the air yesterday, because a friend of mine told me her dog jumped over the couch yesterday
Little leaper, isn't she? My Lowen at about the same age jumped from a standstill onto the sink to look through the window over the sink because I was outside playing bag'o. She didn't even go into the sink, she straddled it! She almost gave my wife and mother a heart attack. Crazy dogs.
