Hey all we have our 5 month gsd and currently buying a home with a huge yard for her and we are thinking about getting another puppy once we close on the home and get settled in. We don't know what kind of pup yet but open to suggestions.

But anyway. We were curious what's the best way to introduce a new puppy to the family and our gsd who is pretty good with other dogs? she's not agressive but when she smells a like a rotweiler or a doberman on someone she goes nuts with barking.

honestly, the only recommendation I have for you is to wait for the second pup until your first pup is older and pretty well trained/rock solid on training. Usually around 2 years old. Having two puppies in the house is extremely difficult and training becomes more difficult even when training separately (highly recommended) because you're putting in double the time and critical time with one is being neglected because of the other and vice versa. You don't want them picking up bad habits from each other if it can be avoided and pups LOVE bad habits.

Just my opinion.
