tomorrow is beamer's LAST obedience class. it is a review class, & he might show us a little bit of down-in-motion depending on how well he thinks she does with down.

we've learned heel, sit, stay, come, "finish", & down. i don't want it to enddd!
i have loveddd the past 7 weeks. he said two months of us working with her on the on-leash commands to get them mastered & then we can go back for off-leash training.

then i really want to do a tracking class with her. our trainer does them as well as other things, i want to do ALL of it, lol. beamer loves it, i can't believe how far she has come in such a short time.

What shilohsmom said. I was a little concern going into this post too. Congratulations for the successes of your training sessions.

You have so much more to learn and enjoy with your pal. She feeds off your excitement so keep it going!

Have you tried or used clicker training with her. If not you may want to look at some of the posts here on clicker training to consider it. It would be a perfect time period before your next classes start to give it a shot.

i actually used to have a doberman who i did a clicker obedience class with. i haven't thought about alternately training beamer with a clicker though. ill have to talk to my husband about it. =)

we had our last class yesterday but are taking beamer back next week to do a free class on heeling while going for a walk with my daughter (she has a tendency to totally ignore the command so she can be right next to the stroller).
