Why does it seem like everywhere you go, whether the park, the vet, pet stores, there are always ignorant people?
This evening I went to the park. It was unusually packed because there was no school today. I should have known better, lol.
First, there is this older man with his Mini Schnauzer. I am walking Chloe around the walking track and come upon them. He makes no attempt to move, as he is just standing there, and allows his dog to come towards mine.
I guess this dog thought this was a fun idea. I'm rolling my eyes the whole time.
Then, I notice this little foo-foo dog, looked like some sort of poodle-mix puppy. Yes, it has a leash, obeying the park rules. But, the two women are sitting down at a table and foo-foo is running about LOOSE on his leash.
We approach around the track and sure enough....foo-foo decides its wise to be brave and bark at Chloe. So, Chloe's fur stands and end and she barks back and lunges.
People stare, all thinking, "Look at that bad GSD, they are so dangerous." At least in my paranoid mind they are, lol.
So, I pass these women three more times and this puppy is still running loose, leash dragging. I finally yelled something at them the last trip around like, "That is SO dangerous". Apparently they thought it was cute for foo-foo to act aggressive towards a GSD.
Idiots.
Anyway, had to vent. I know this board is full of stories like this. Just irks me. Makes it so difficult to go on walks, vet visits, etc.
Only good thing, it helps her training with distractions and I take advantage of it.
