Frank and I are just starting to play around with tracking.
I had my son go out and lay a track for us in our back field.
I had him lay a longer track then we had been practicing plus I told him I didn't want to be able to see the articles. I wanted to have to trust Frank and I wanted to know I hadn't directed Frank in any way.
My son did as he was told.
Frank and I went out to track we came to a spot where Frank was clearly saying the track took a turn, but Frank wanted to go to the right down through the wettest soggiest part of the field where water had ponded.
I just knew there was no way my son had gone that way, so I kept trying to get Frank to continue straight or go left. Finally Frank sat next to me, like he was saying "If you're so smart you put your nose on the ground" :smirk:
Finally I pointed and said "Ok go that way then"
He took off to the right, about 100 feet, straight for the water that had made a pond, stuck his nose in the water move some grass, and pulled out 1 soggy dripping sock which is exactly what he was hunting for :D

My only hope now, is Frank isn't smart enough to advertise for a Handler that is smart enough to do tracking with him:D
