I'm going to post this dog now even though he is technically not available for adoption until Friday.
I've called on him a few times and have found out that he is chipped and AC were trying to contact the owner. In one conversation it was mentioned that they believed the dog was from out of state. This morning I inquired again and apparantly they've reached the owner who has til Friday to contact them. If not, he goes up for public adoption.

They couldn't tell anything else about him as they don't interact with the dogs. All it says is that he is neutered and has a birthdate listed as 6/7/2009. I don't know if that is there estimate or from the chip info but it's been on there since he was listed on 10/26.

good looking boy
I just called the shelter to check on his situation.

They (shelter) could not contact the owners directly with the phone number obtained through the chip company so they sent out a registered letter. They allowed time for the owners to contact the shelter before he goes up for adoption. As of today, they have not heard anything from the owners and will go up for adoption on Friday.

They told me that in the kennel/run he is a bit nervous/shy but once out of that room he is a totally different dog. They haven't had him around other dogs.

I will check back on Friday.
Now that is a good looking dog! I would love to have a great GSD in that color. :D
:mad::mad::mad:

I just called about this guy.

The owner contacted LCAC and said they didn't want him anymore and said he was aggressive.

The ACO said he didn't pass their test and he was pts!

I don't think there's anybody in that shelter that is qualified to temp test a dog. They've killed dogs before for such stupid, unreasonable reasons. I don't trust the ACO. Never have, never will.
Oh no! They put him to sleep!

Poor guy, he didn't even get a chance. :(
This shelter is not good at all. They have no experience with testing these dogs and they are known to pts even if a rescue has a hold on the dog. This dog was just a baby. Who ever the pinhead owners were they probably left him out side with no training. I hate people.
RIP
Oh that is awful, he was still a baby!
