This is the first time for me own a large breed dog and as I learn more about my boy, some questions are coming up. Zeus is 11 weeks old. His sire was lbs110 and dame was lbs 80. As of right now, he is pushing lbs 30 and is a very healthy, social, and active puppy who at times behaves like a little land shark. He has large bones. I am feeding him quality puppy food and I am sticking to suggested quantities. He appears to get just full enough on that. Question is - how large should a puppy of his age be and should I switch to adult dog food at 4-5 months in order to slow down the growth a bit? I have heard this is possible but I am not sure of ots the right thing to do.

Thanks;
Sasa

It all depends on what lines your pup is from he seems to be quite normal my pup was 25 pounds at 11 weeks old his sire was from Western German Show Lines 110 pounds and his mom was from Czech working lines 75 pounds. Argos is now 15 weeks old and 40 pounds I was told he will top out somewhere around 100-110 pounds.
