Can someone tell me about how many different breeds/pedigrees there are in the GSD's? I am just wondering, DF and I were trying to think of them, but we came up blank...Thanks.

Do you mean different lines?
If so...There's a lot if you want to be picky...but I think it divides into 3 basic groups...American Showline, German Showline, and Working (which I think divides further into W.German, East German/DDR, and Czech)
