i feed it to luc and teagan when we're backpacking, and sometimes at home as well. i've never fed it in the same meal as kibble, but i feed the dogs grain-free kibble w/raw given at times, and they've gotten THK the same day as kibble and been fine.

....i just got a box of embark for my puppy who is coming home in early/mid june - i plan to feed him embark and orijen puppy kibble.

i've never ordered it online - as far as i know, you can order it from the THK website, and Leerburg also carries it - i got one of the local dog stores here (okay, it's a 'boutique' (la di da) but it carries good food!) to special order the box for me since they normally just carry the bags. maybe also check w/pet supply places in your area to see what price they could order it for you at.

edit: and results-wise - it's a good food. i can switch the dogs over to it for a trip no problem, though i always add extra water as was suggested to me by somebody on the leerburg forum, and no bowel problems, the dogs love it.

I feed Orijen kibble in the morning with a bit of yogurt on it and Honest Kitchen Thrive in the evening with some lightly cooked meat, about a quarter pound. Turkey, chicken and beef and a wee bit of liver. I re hydrate the Honest Kitchen with one and a half times the water, for 15 minutes. My dog loves it and her stools are great. Coat is glossy too.

I feed a primarily raw diet, but do keep Honest Kitchen (or as I call it THK) on hand for when I forget to thaw, when traveling, or just for the heck of it.

I have used Force and Embark. I have bought mine directly from the manufacter with a coupon that someone posted on another board, but I also like http://www.doggiefood.com (excellent site!! great service, etc.)

my dogs (all three) hate the honest kitchen.

It occurs to me that I might be preparing it wrong but I do not think so. I have tried it on several different occasions. Always met with the same distain.

Maybe I just have an overly picky, spoiled crew.

I have a good friend that feeds Honest Kitchen and her dog seems to like it. I guess I can't get use to the look of it although I do feed some supplements made by Honest Kitchen.
