I posted here a few months back but without any pictures or posting again after that, but I've always been a lurker on these forums. So I figured I'd give it a round two so you guys can meet Kira and I. I got Kira from a breeder in Madrid earlier this year. She is about 11 months old and I couldnt ask for a better companion. She is smart, loyal, beautiful, and lovable, but then again I'm describing GSDs in general, but she is mine. Myself, I'm 24, originally from Southeastern Arizona, land of the sun...and not much else. I'm in the U.S. Air Force and stationed at Naval Station Rota, Spain, and I love every second of it. I take care of Kira along with my girlfriend. I'm going to attempt to post some pictures so please bear with me.

This is the first picture I have of Kira.....the one the breeder sent to me.
I'll add some more in in the next few months, as life creates opportunities.

Yeah I can't complain. The couple of beach pics I have are maybe a 2 min walk from my house. And the grassy palm tree picture is the park near my girlfriends house. I just got really lucky and got a great assignment. Andalucia is a beautiful place.

Wow, great pictures! My husband's dad was career Air Force and was stationed in Spain- he was sent there to set up the maintenance base, so my husband spent some childhood years in Madrid. In fact he started school there, it was before there was a base school so he went to 1st grade in the local school and they put him in an all girl's class- he loved it!! Apparently the girls were very charming, beautiful and loved having a little boy all to themselves! Looks like one of them found you too.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Its a small world to see all the people who have connections to Rota....I didn't realize that. And tomorrow Kira is going to sport her American Flag Bandana for Veteran's Day. Even though my girlfriend swears that she is Spanish since all of her commands are in Spanish and she was born in Spain, I still believe that my girl is all-american!

When my husband was a little kid growing up in Spain, he was riding his brother's brand new bike and a gsd jumped off an embankment, onto his back, and bit him. His brother ran out saying "my bike, my bike", my husband was 6 yrs old fighting off a giant gsd, getting bitten all over. He had to have rabies shots- back then they were given in the stomach. Funny that he loves gsds, still loves Spanish food, but hates riding bikes! I'm sure your Kira would never do anything like that! And you're right, she looks true blue all American German Shepherd- from Spain. Call her an ambassador of gsds
