PaulH asked for me to post these for him. These are prelim xrays taken when the dog was 8 months old. What do you think? (Mods, please move if this is the wrong place.)

I am not that good with elbows yet so I will not comment on them. But IMO the hips are clear but probably will rate "fair" due to the lack of coverage over the femoral head. I see no DJD or remodeling but there is some of the acetibular (sp?) head clearly not being covered in the socket and I do not think it is a large amount of laxitity causing this, looks to be conformational.

Elbows are small (pics I mean) so it is hard to tell...I don't think I see UAP though.

Left hip has slightly less coverage as Cherri stated. Very slightly crooked pelvis though...

What did his vet say?
I'm not an elbow expert, but the hips are fine and should go OFA Good. There is plenty of femoral head coverage.

Thanks everyone. X-rays not submitted to the vet.
Thanks,
Paul
It's interesting the differences in comments here and on the PDB. I do not know anything about x-rays but I guess one criticism of the OFA is the subjectivity.
Did anyone else see in the news that now even fingerprints (humans) are not as clear cut as once believed?
I'll let you know a year from now about the final outcome. I just wanted to be sure the H and E were ok to begin working him more in a month or two. No hurry. The vet says the rays look very good and he has very good leg extension.(?)Thanks again and any other comments of the x-rays would be appreciated. Father is Jabina Falco and mother is Frida Digarah.
Thanks,
Paul
So when will be see pictures of this new guy?
When Jen learns to use my camera. Ha!. Don't tell her I said that. I have tried to get a decent picture but he won't stand still. Imagine that.
On one of my last posts, I meant the x rays were not sent to the OFA. The vet in Georgia that did them checked them and my vet checked them. So I am satisfied that he can work with no harm. We are still getting to know each other but I think he is a fast learner.
Paul
Well let me be the first to say.. CONGRATS on your new addition.. My he be everything you want in a working dog!!

FWIW.. I thought the x-rays looked okay too!
Congratulations Paul!!!! I'm not expert but those x-rays look fine to me.

Thanks! I am still learning to live with two working dogs. It keeps me busy. Twice as much training, etc. The new guy has only been to training twice. Twice as much track laying, etc. But I work each separately. Two is my limit. Honest!
