Took my crew for a little hike up to the top of the mountain, it was gorgeous and a good cardio boost haha. My old lady pit refused to be left behind, she’s such a champ even at 11! We haven’t been up since early spring because I’m paranoid they’re going to get bit by a snake, but in the cooler months it’s on!

Thank you all for the kind comments! It’s hunting season here too but since it’s my land, and I’m bordered by a Boy Scout camp and thousands of acres of the county’s watershed reservoir I am “fairly” confident no one else is out there. BUT you never know! We are not a quiet bunch and with the leaves you can probably hear us coming from miles away. Which is fine by me because I don’t want to startle any bears!

We do have evergreens too like hemlocks. I’ll find a pic from winter to show.
