Hi everyone! hope you're all doing well
just wanted to say hello and update you on Giada.

She turned 1 on Sept 28th and is doing so well. We have struggled with some dog reactivity and she still chases our cats, but things are HUNDREDS of times better and she has become such a lovely and loved member of our family.

Obedience is going great, as she is always dying to please and looking for a new job to do. We started nose work with her but I feel the IPO bug creeping up to bite me so I may join a club with her soon, just for fun. After all, it's what she was bred to do.

Hips and elbows surveys went perfectly and she filed her A-Stamp last week.

Feeding raw and loving it all around.

Here are some pix of our little derp (just hit 79 lbs a week ago.

Hope you're all well!

She is beautiful! What great progress! Are the other 2 dogs yours or just friends?
Just friends. She can be particularly reactive with little white fluffy snack dogs who tried to establish boundaries with her. Rather than respect the rules sometimes Gigi escalates the situation instead. So we were practicing. Note that she is off leash. ?

one of those pictures is from backpacking in desolation wilderness in California where she was off leash the entire time. It was absolutely spectacular

I'm from So Cal. What CA wilderness area were you in? I like her little shoes.

She did well being off leash with the other 2 dogs! A couple neighbors on my street, let their little dogs run loose. Most mornings, when we go for a walk, a one-eyed chihuahua confronts us. I try to look at it as a training opportunity for Cassie, but it gets annoying after awhile. I started taking Cassie to a dog park a few weeks ago. So far, it's helped socialize her with other dogs (at least the more friendly ones).
