Help! still eating dirt!

Help! seems Atka (7 months) eats dirt every night. He doesn't eat dirt during the day because I'm always there to supervise him. But lately during the night he sneaks out while I tell him to go do his thing, he brings back a mouth full of dirt! Is he lacking something? I'm afraid he might get worms again...

There may be something lacking in his diet, mineral-wise, or he just might like eating dirt. I know plenty of dogs on excellent food and supplements who still like to eat dirt. Some heartworm preventatives also protect against other types of worms, so if he is on one of those, that will help. Just keep an eye on him and get stool checks twice a year.

What kind of food is he eating?
Mine likes rocks, she sneeks them back in the house, and even hides them so I dont notice. She has a high quality food, but she likes the gravel.......
Mine still does the asme thing but I can always tell when he has somethnig he shouldn't because he runs away from me. If I look at him he won't move his mouth, the second I look away he chews, it's so funny.

oh my god its not just Baron that does this. I feel better now. He eats anything he can get his mouth on outside. Leaves, rocks, dirt, sticks, moss, anything. I feel like I'm constantly holding up on his lead a little to keep his head off the ground the whole time, and he chokes himself so I have to try and keep it between him choking and him eating till I can get him to his spot. It scares me to death when he chokes himself on the lead.
