So Mr. Zag will be here soon and I want to get all my ducks in a row. I currently feed blue buffalo but I know this isnt a great recommendation for puppies.

Zag will be 7 months old when he gets here....what does everyone recommend for puppies??? :help:

I know TOTW has high calcium as well....I would like to feed raw but want to know about dry formulas as well. Thanks for all the help in advance

Blue Buffalo makes a good lg breed puppy food. If you like the brand there's no reason not to feed it.

I feed Bandit Diamon Naturals Lamb and Rice Large Breed puppy. He does great with that.

Can't go wrong with Wellness Super 5 Mix for LBP. or Orijen for same.

My GSD BLK male 8 month old german shepherd is feed TOTW in the AM and RAW around 4PM. He enjoys both. I highly recommend try TOTW or trying raw. There are many helpful tools on this website to help you get started.

It's pretty easy to see what are the top notch kibble out there it all depends on what you can buy locally and how much you are willing to pay.

If you already like Blue Buffalo, stick with it. They have a large breed puppy formula. Plus, a lot of people will start feeding their dogs adult kibble at 6 months, if they feed puppy food at all.

So if you wanted to, you could put him on an adult food, but that's your choice.
