I just joined the site, Im hoping to find good topics, with people who are actually knowledgeable. My GSD is definitely not standard looking. Its very rare that anyone guesses that she is purebred. She is mostly a golden color ( probably considered red by most, but not rottie red), tan, and white. She has a small amount of black by her ears, barely noticable. Her tail is really the only part of her that is significantly black-- I think that is why nobody seems to think she is purebred. Anyone else have unique looking shepherds?

good looking dogs but i agree neither look PB to me not saying they are not just saying i could see how people say that.
An alaskan husky isnt a recognized breed. You can read up a little on them. Its pretty much that they took breeds that they thought would make a good sled dog and bred them together. Her line has been around for many years. She is supposed to be a pure Alaskan husky (IE her mom and dad both were, and so were her grandparents, and so forth back X generations, im not sure how many) But the lady we got her from said she might not be 100% since she isnt 100% sure who the daddy was. It was either an alaskan or a GSD, but since she is so small Im thinking Alaskan + she looks just like the alaskan who is the suspected father. She's cute, but very stubborn. Thankfully Ditto is very well behaved or I would be going crazy.

New here ...name is Yuri and work at home 90% of the time. Hope to make it 100% as it is a lifestyle we should all be fortunate enough to maintain.
