Im new to the forum, but not new to owning GSD's. My 1st GSD was a white female we named Judah. I only had her for around 4 months, before i had to give her over to a friend. We got stationed at Fort Riley, KS and i couldnt find ANY homes that would take large breed dogs in our price range! I now own a 1 yr old black and tan female, which we named Ruby. BOY is she high drive, 24/7 go go GO! haha My husband over time started to get jealous when i was her favorite haha I remember the time he said he wanted "his own" GSD. Laying in bed, about to go to sleep he calls for her to climb in bed with us. over and over and over, and im half asleep wanting him to shut it, so i call her over and right away she Jumps up and cuddles with me haha SO, 10 months later we decide to get another GSD. Maxximus-G. My husbands choice. I call him Max. He is 6 months now. And my husband has spent all of 2 weeks with him, since he is deployed. I hope he understands... When he is back for good, Max is gonna be like Ruby and listen and love on mommy! haha He is TOTALLY different than Ruby. He has a good prey drive and loves to run and tug and play. But his energy level is alot more calm, and gentle! Alot easier to train actually. Not to mention Ruby got attacked by 3 Dogs when she was 9 months old, so she shows avoidance. Anyways, thats a long stry for a different Thread. I was wondering if there were any other GSD owners near my area (Huntsville/Madison) I would love to get My dogs out and about with other GSD's. and get to meet some of you!
