Heidi and her HD

Does anyone else's dog try to get as much mileage out of her hip dysplasia as possible? Our code for Heidi to let me know she is hurting and may need an aspirin is that she looks back at her rear end. In fact that was the reason I asked the vet to x-ray her and see if anything was wrong back there. When she does this, we pet her and kiss her and say "Ohhh poor Heidi." Heidi has begun using this whenever she is in trouble. For instance, if she gets caught in the garbage, she looks back at her hips as if to say "Don't blame me, I have hip dysplasia." If she picks on her labbie sister, it's "I'm the victim here, I have hip dysplasia." And the other day when we were at the park, some children and their mother came over to pet her. She let them, but then she started looking back at her hips and they didn't know what she was saying, but I knew she was trying to tell them about her hip dysplasia. I told her she is like a self-involved old person wanting to talk about their ailments all the time!
