So for the last few days I've been thinking that I wanted to get another GSD, so I mentioned it to DF, and he said "No, we just can't do that right now, but maybe in the fall!" We have some traveling we need to do this summer, and I guess he just thinks it'll be easier with just the 2 right now, so I guess aroud my birthday in October, I am going to ask him for a pup....

I think I love this breed so much, that I'm willing to do what I can for the breed, with rescuing and all, and he's the same way, but he just looks at it in a more reality way then I do.?.?

In my opinion, reality is overrated...that's why I have a 9 week old GSD Pup and have decided when my "old man" (lab mix) goes to the Bridge, I will get another GSD

I've got a senior and junior here. When my senior goes I will rescue another senior. I highly recommend rescuing older dogs. There are so many older gsds out there that need homes!

That's exactly what I plan to do...don't get me wrong, I dont' want to lose my Oz, but I will definitely do a senior rescue when he is gone.

Jennifer I have the same problem. DH just doesnt think right now is a good time for a second dog. Maybe at some point in the future when we both have more time to spend with a second dog. Right now with both of us working 50 hour a week, plus commuting and 3 teenagers, not to mention Rocky our time is stretched pretty thin.

Hopefully someday soon things will get easier.

I know the feeling, Suesse will be a year old in June, and we are already thinking of either later this fall or early spring adding another baby to our family. (FUR baby that is! lol)
