Some years ago I posted in a thread about your GSD saving your life. I was in bed, Wolf came in looking at me intently, so of course I got up. He led me down to the basement that was beginning to fill with smoke because of a smoldering fire leading away from the furnace. The fire easily could have spread. What I thought was great-but normal for GSD- was he led me into the danger so I could fix it-he was not running away. Of course, all of this was BEFORE the smoke detector kicked in.
