This is my girl Frankie. We got her as a pup (probably 9 weeks old) from the SPCA just over 5 years ago. We were told her mother was a Malinois, no idea about the father.

She's a lovely girl (I know, I'm biased :D), and is very smart, extremely high energy, intense and a bit overly sensitive (partially due to an incident at the shelter before we got her).

As she grew, she became more and more GSD looking. Any ideas on what her mix might be? GSD, Malinois, anything else?

Thanks guys! We've always thought she looked, at the very least, high content GSD if not purebred. She certainly acts like a GSD (both hubby and I had them growing up). So hard to tell when you get a puppy from the shelter and they have no info on the parents! Whatever mix she is, we think she's beautiful and we love her to bits! :D

Hahaha, yeah you're probably right! They originally said Mali mix, then when we got there they said that there was probably lab in the mix because she looked a lot like an adult black lab they had. Well, all 8-10 week old large black puppies look like labs to people who don't know any better! When I said that it looked like her ears were maybe starting to stand up, they looked at me like I had 2 heads. I really wish the shelter had taken down more info - it would be nice to know!
