Gracie is almost 25 months (where has the time gone?!). Let me know what you think. It was a beautiful day for brushing, the sun is showing off her shining coat....but, as you all know, it is nearly impossible to take a properly stacked photo by yourself. I hope this is good enough for a critique.

Jenn, Gracie is just gorgeous!
Seeing updated Gracie pics is always such a treat!
I know I am not much help (ok, I CAN tell that she seems to have very nice, tight feet) But wow.. what a huge difference in the last year. Look at how much muscle she has-- hindquarters and shoulder! This pic truly shows off her sable superhero cape on her neck, too.

Jen, you are truly and honestly doing SUCH a great job with her!! Her condition looks phenomenal.. fantastic! And now, the conformation experts, and maybe even a few confirmation experts too, shall chime in...

I know nothing about conformation either, but I think she looks very "in shape"

She is beautiful

Jen,
I am no expert but Gracie looks to me to be a beautiful dog, both outwardly and her personality. The love that you show for her is beautiful in itself. I think we all probably know that feeling !
On the flip side, I wish I could brush Delta.. all she wants to do is eat it !

Wasn't this a great day on the Jersey coast ? We launched the boat today and Delta took her first ride ! Looks like she will be a fishing dog, if she doesn't eat the bait.

All the best,
Pam
Thank you for the kind words about Gracie.
I was in touch with her breeder who said maybe 2-3 more pounds - I've been trying to get her to 65 and it's nearly impossible. Perhaps the better quality food will help. I'm giving her 1200 calories/day right now of a veterinary diet.

Pam, it was absolutely glorious! It is supposed to rain all day tomorrow
Gracie tried to eat her brush and bite me during nail clipping up to just a few months ago then all of a sudden she let me brush her and do her nails - perhaps she met a boy?!!!
Delta will calm down for you - give her time.

Yes Flash still tries to eat the brush.
That's where two brushes come in handy.
For ear cleaning and nail grinding we have found that he loves q-tips. It does take both of us to do this but we let him nibble on a q-tip while one of us holds it and then the other person can do whatever we want to him. It's the weirdest thing and it works better than treats.
Much easier than wrestling him and with time we won't need the q-tips at all rather than having to out muscle him more and more as he learns to fight it. Pancho was 18 months and only recently were we able to do nails and ears without treats.

I can't believe she and Ghost are 25 months! I still remember them as babies.
The only stacked pictures I get are accidental. :p She looks great, very fit! Though I agree a pound or two wouldn't hurt but I'll take an underweight dog over an overweight dog every day of the week.

I know!! I can't believe it either - I have no idea where the last 2 years went!! Ghost puts on weight far too easily, sure wish I had Gracie's metabolism! LOL
